Free Life was born in 2023 in a little coffee shop in Norfolk, Virginia—just a few friends meeting on the Meetup app, searching for connection that didn’t revolve around alcohol.

We weren’t trying to start a business. We were just looking for something real. A place to gather without pressure, without booze, without pretending. A place to belong.

What started as a simple meetup quickly snowballed into something much bigger—a movement, a community, and eventually, a social enterprise. We realized we weren’t alone. So many people were craving the same thing: authentic connection, elevated social experiences, and spaces that don’t require alcohol to feel fun, freeing, or fulfilling.

Today, Free Life is a vibrant alcohol-free ecosystem offering a mobile non-alcoholic bar, a curated bottle shop inside Maison Soleil, and a wide range of events and experiences that invite people to connect, celebrate, and heal—without the booze.

We’ve hosted hundreds of events, from sober storytelling nights and wellness retreats to mocktail tastings, dance parties, and walk-and-talk meetups. Everything we do is rooted in joy, inclusion, and intentional living. Free Life is a community-first brand, and we believe in doing business in a way that’s deeply human. Our events feel like home. Our drinks spark joy. And our mission is simple: to make it easier, cooler, and more joyful to live alcohol-free.
